Abstract(s)
as opiniões e conhecimentos que as crianças tinham sobre as diferentes modalidades
desportivas; vi) Promover diferentes modalidades desportivas e vii) Apresentar às crianças
as modalidades desportivas desenvolvidas por clubes e associações da cidade de Bragança;
As part of the Supervised Teaching Practice course unit within the master’s degree in PreSchool Education and Primary School Teaching, an educational action was developed in a nursery school, kindergarten, and primary school context, in which we tried to plan and implement teaching-learning experiences that would meet the children's needs and interests and allow greater contact with the physical education and playful games. The research focuses on the idea of physical education and playful games as an educational context, enhancing the sports that physical education can provide to children and even playful games as a method of teaching and learning, through living unique experiences, learning and development in different domains. The following objectives were outlined: i) Understanding the role that Physical Education assumes in the process of teaching, learning and development of children; ii) Develop teaching-learning experiences/activities that encourage an approach to the development of physical education within the framework of OCEPE and Essential Learning; iii) Stimulate children's learning through recreational and physical activities; iv) Promoting games as a teaching and learning method; v) Investigate the conceptions that children have about the different sports; vi) Promote different sports and vii) Encourage children to join and attend sports clubs and associations; A qualitative investigation was chosen, in which different techniques and instruments were used to obtain the data necessary for the study, such as: participant observation, field notes, photographic records and the (informal) questionnaire survey carried out to the group of children from JI and 1st CEB. During the investigative practice, a reflective and critical attitude towards the work carried out was adopted. The results obtained in the study indicate that children are more satisfied with playing and learning through games and physical activities, as well as interacting with different materials to which they are accustomed, showing greater motivation for learning, more concentration, participation among peers. , as well as relentless desire for exploration.
