O planeamento estratégico é um instrumento de gestão importante que auxilia as empresas na
tomada de decisão. Pode ser implementado em pequenas, médias ou grandes empresas, mas por
ser um processo longo e muitas vezes exigente, poucas empresas de pequena e média dimensão
optam por implementar este instrumento. No mercado atual, onde as mudanças ocorrem em
velocidade crescente e a concorrência é cada vez maior, trona-se fundamental que uma empresa
conheça em profundidade os seus processos e também o ambiente de negócios no qual se encontra
envolvida. Em muitos casos as empresas crescem sem planeamento e mesmo com o aumento das
vendas, não conseguem alcançar o lucro estimado, podendo ocasionar o encerramento da empresa,
justamente por não perceberem onde está o problema.
Tratando-se de um estudo exploratório e descritivo, o trabalho vai ser desenvolvido a partir de um
estudo de caso envolvendo uma empresa do segmento das pequenas empresas. Neste sentido, o
objetivo principal deste trabalho assenta em verificar a importância do planeamento estratégico
como ferramenta de gestão numa pequena e média empresa, nomeadamente na empresa Tintas
Europa.
Strategic planning is an important management tool that helps enterprises in decision making. It can be implemented in small, medium or large enterprises, but because it is a long and often demanding process, few small and medium-sized enterprises choose to implement this instrument. In the current market, where changes occur at increasing speed and competition is increasing, it is essential that a company knows in depth its processes and also the business environment in which it is involved. In several cases enterprises grow without planning and even with increased sales, they cannot reach the estimated profit, which can lead to the closing of the enterprise, precisely because they do not understand where the problem is. Being an exploratory and descriptive study, the work will be developed from a case study involving an enterprise from the small business segment. In this regards, the main objective of this work is to verify the importance of strategic planning as a management tool in a small and medium enterprise, namely in the enterprise Tintas Europa.
