Valero Matas, Jesús A.Este artículo pretende exponer una serie de aspectos culturales considerados básicos para la integración de los inmigrantes. Debemos ser conscientes que la cultura es uno de los elementos más importantes de las sociedades, y sobre ellas nos socializan. El artículo analiza los diferentes aspectos que suelen ser un inconveniente para la integración de los inmigrantes en un país de acogida. Como son el desconocimiento del idioma, la conservación de los valores culturales de origen por no corresponderse con los de destino o la religión. Este artículo es producto de una investigación que hemos realizado en Castilla y León. This paper sets out a number of issues essential to the cultural integration of immigrants. We must be aware that culture is one of the most important elements of society, and we socialize them. This paper discusses the different aspects which are often considered inconvenient for the integration of immigrants in a host country. For instance ignorance of the language, the preservation of original cultural values because of lack of correspondence to the target culture and religion. This paper is an outcome of research we have done in Castilla and Leon.

Mateus, Maria do Nascimento EstevesO principal objectivo deste trabalho foi uma investigação sobre a problemática, in(ex)clusão dos imigrantes em Bragança, cuja abordagem permitiu não só analisar as actuais tendências imigratórias e os impactos socioeconómicos que as mesmas têm a nível local, mas também reflectir sobre algumas respostas locais articuladas ao nível das necessidades de acolhimento e integração dos cidadãos imigrantes. A metodologia utilizada foi o método de análise extensiva, abrangente, em situações reais, sobre as quais, a posteriori, foram tecidas considerações finais, através de uma análise quantitativa e qualitativa. Como procedimento de recolha e análise de dados foram usadas técnicas de pesquisa diversificadas, através de uma observação não participante, tendo sido elaborados e aplicados sessenta e oito inquéritos por questionário e feita uma entrevista formal ao Senhor Presidente da Câmara Municipal de Bragança, pois a integração dos imigrantes realiza-se, sobretudo, a nível local/regional, com a colaboração de diferentes instituições, nomeadamente o poder autárquico. The main objective of this work was to investigate into the problem of inclusion and exclusion of immigrants in Bragança. The approach to the theme has not only considered the current immigration trends and the socioeconomic impacts that they have at the local level but it also considered some local responses to needs articulated at the reception and integration of immigrant citizens. The methodology used was the method of extensive analysis, rather comprehensive in real situations, on which the subsequent, final considerations were made through a quantitative and qualitative analysis. In order to collect and analyse data several research techniques were used, mainly through a non-participant observation. Thus, sixtyeight questionnaires were carried out and a formal interview to the Mayor of Bragança was conducted.. This was done so because the integration of immigrants takes place, especially at local/regional level, with the collaboration of different institutions, including the municipal power.
