Silva, Luiz Antonio de Souza Fernandes; Piloto, P.A.G.; Razuk, Henrique CotaitThe present work presents a study across the effects of fire in nonloadbering Light- Steel Frame (LSF) walls. Eight experimental tests and twenty-two parametric analyses were performed to evaluate the influence the thickness of the cavity, the thickness of the structural steel, the effect of the protection layer and the influence of insulation material in the cavity. The thickness of the protection layer presents the bigger influence in fire resistance, followed by the effect of the insulation material in the cavity. Four configurations of protection layers and three different LSF structures were evaluated, and a test with insulation in the cavities.
