Intenta-se nesse trabalho apresentar nossa experiência na realização de uma pesquisa qualitativa, no
âmbito da graduação em Saúde Coletiva, na Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso, Brasil, entre 2017 e
2019, cujo objetivo era compreender como profissionais de saúde de cuidados primários, de um bairro
da periferia da cidade de Cuiabá, estado de Mato Grosso, significavam a violência e, a partir daí,
construíam suas práticas de enfrentamento ao fenómeno. Interessa-nos, aqui, compartilhar nosso
percurso, de modo a auxiliar jovens pesquisadores na condução de suas pesquisas, apontando para
eventuais obstáculos, possíveis estratégias de manejo e modos de atuação.
The aim of this work is to present our experience in conducting a qualitative research, within the scope of the undergraduate programme in Collective Health, at the Federal University of Mato Grosso, Brazil, between 2017 and 2019. Its objective was to understand how primary healthcare professionals, from a neighborhood on the outskirts of the city of Cuiabá, state of Mato Grosso, assessed violence and how, from there, they built their practices to face the phenomenon. We are interested in sharing our path in order to assist young researchers in conducting their research, indicating possible obstacles, management strategies and courses of action.
