| dc.description.abstract | Para Morin (2005) o desenvolvimento verdadeiramente humano significa o desenvolvimento conjunto das autonomias individuais, das participações comunitárias e do sentimento de pertencer à espécie humana (p. 55). De facto, as expressões Desenvolvimento Humano, Desenvolvimento Sustentável e Educação Ambiental para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável – EADS são uma realidade discursiva atual. Porém, do discurso à ação, vai um longo percurso e as Instituições do Ensino Superior – IES não constituem exceção neste trajeto. Vários autores creem que as IES deveriam ocupar o vazio deixado por outras instituições, devido ao dever doutrinal para com a comunidade de se traduzirem em modelos sustentáveis na gestão, ensino e investigação. Assim, o objetivo deste artigo é expressar, nas palavras de diversos autores, a problemática da EADS no ensino superior. A metodologia utilizada foi a recolha e análise de conteúdo de informação documental: literatura sobre a temática, artigos científicos e documentos emanados de acordos internacionais sobre a EADS no ensino superior. Conclui-se que as questões relativas à EADS avançam muito lentamente, privadas de um plano global, concertado e contínuo. Tem-se assistido a políticas públicas que implementam reformas educativas em resposta aos problemas ambientais. Porém, embora o discurso das IES caminhe para o instituído em acordos internacionais, não se tem mostrado coerente com a prática, no que respeita à inclusão dos princípios de EADS no ensino-aprendizagem. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | To Morin (2005) truly human development means joint development of individual autonomies, community participation and a sense of belonging to the human race (p. 55). In fact, the expressions Human Development, Sustainable Development and Environmental Education for Sustainable Development – EESD are a current discursive reality. However there is a great difference between words and action, and higher education institutions are no exception. Several authors believe that higher education institutions should fill the void left by other institutions due to their doctrinal duty to the community to become sustainable models in management, teaching and research. The objective of this article is to investigate the issue of EESD in higher education. The methodology used was the collection and content analysis of secondary information sources: literature on the subject, scientific articles and documents from international agreements on EESD in higher education. We conclude that the issues of EESD proceed very slowly, deprived of a global, collaborative and sustained plan. There have been public policies that implement educational reforms in response to environmental issues. However, while the discourse of higher education institutions respects international agreements, it has not shown to be consistent with their actions, with regard to the inclusion of EESD principles in teaching and learning. | pt_PT |
