Abstract(s)

Propolis is a resinous substance obtained by honey bees Apis mellifera, a product considered "natural an8bio8c" which plays an important role in defending the hive, protec8ng it from microorganisms, fungi, bacteria and viruses. This product has a large variety of compounds in its composi8on, giving greater emphasis to the phenolic compounds, which are a>ributed strong an8oxidant and an8microbial ac8vi8es. The main objec8ve of this work is to op8mize the technique of thin layer chromatography (TLC) to analyze qualita8vely, using the two-‐dimensional technique, the phenolic compounds of propolis.
