| dc.description.abstract | Neste capítulo faz-se uma curta introdução à vegetação herbácea aquática e anfíbia (semiterrestre) dulçaquícola de Portugal continental. A vegetação aquática é constituída por hidrófitos (plantas aquáticas), errantes ou enraizados, próprios de corpos de águas livres (i. e., permanentes, com alguma profundidade). Os hidrófitos errantes (pleustófitos) estão sobretudo adaptados a águas lênticas de lagoas e cursos de água de fraca corrente. Os hidrófitos enraizados tanto ocupam meios lênticos como meios lóticos (águas correntes). A vegetação anfíbia tem por habitat exsurgências de água ou as margens, encharcadas ou ciclicamente inundadas, dos corpos de água. Ainda que algumas comunidades anfíbias sejam inundadas com águas relativamente profundas, o seu desenvolvimento faz-se no estio, quando o nível da água livre desce e o solo, eventualmente, enxuga à superfície. | pt_PT |
