Santos, Samira Elaine Lino dos; Coelho, João Paulo; Agulhari, Cristiano MarcosAquaponics is an agricultural production technique with the potential to mitigate social and environmental problems in the coming decades, such as scarcity of water resources, climate change and increased hunger and food insecurity. Its differential, compared to other traditional agricultural techniques, is its capacity to produce fish and plants in a closed environment of recirculation of water and nutrients. Due to the complexity of monitoring the different climatic and environmental parameters involved in this method of cultivation, it becomes dependent on the application of information technologies. Thus, the present work intends to contribute with solutions based on IoT technologies for the monitoring and control of agricultural processes in aquaponics. Through the Raspberry Pi, Arduino and Node-RED, a control and supervision system was developed which, in addition to real-time updating of the measured environmental variables, sends an email notification to the producer in the event of failures and abnormalities.
