- GPISEC: Secretariado como campo de investigação: Rosimeri Ferraz SabinoPublication . Santos, Nayara Dias dos; Rocha, Fabio GomesO secretariado como campo de atuação e formação profissional é o foco dos estudos realizados pelo Grupo de Pesquisas Interdisciplinares em Secretariado (GPISEC), da Universidade Federal de Sergipe (UFS/Brasil). O objetivo do grupo é analisar o secretariado nos âmbitos laboral, social e educacional, por meio da abordagem interdisciplinar entre as áreas do saber que envolvem as suas atividades e que permitem a compreensão sobre a construção, manutenção e permanência do ofício nas práticas sociais. O GPISEC vem construindo um relevante papel nas investigações científicas sobre o campo, envolvendo docentes e discentes de diversas localidades brasileiras, bem como de Portugal, buscando contribuir para o conhecimento, desenvolvimento e reconhecimento do campo. Com a intenção de conhecer essa iniciativa e o trabalho do GPISEC, foi realizada uma entrevista, via e-mail, com a idealizadora e líder do grupo Prof.ª Dr.ª Rosimeri Ferraz Sabino, Doutora em Educação, Mestre em Educação, Administração e Comunicação, e Bacharel em Secretariado Executivo. Na sua experiência, a Dr.ª Rosimeri conta com a atuação no ensino superior e técnico na área de Secretariado e Administração, com ênfase em funções de assessoria nos segmentos públicos e privados. Atualmente, ela é professora adjunta do Departamento de Secretariado Executivo, na Universidade Federal de Sergipe
- Scrum as a platform to manage students in projects of technological development and scientific initiation: a study case realized at UNIT/SEPublication . Santana, Larissa Freitas; Santos, Luiz Felipe Cirqueira dos; Silva, Thiciane Suely Couto; Villar, Victor Brito; Rocha, Fabio Gomes; Gonçalves, VitorThis paper deals with the Scrum methodology as an alternative to pedagogical practices and managing of the software projects, presenting an investigation with the students of scientific initiation of an university from the Brazil's northeast. It was seeking to analyze the accomplishment of the students with the Scrum practices, as well the percepetion of the learning of the methodology, showing the positive aspects and the negative ones through this experience. As a conclusion, the Scrum methodology is indicated to manage projects even when the team has limited or none experience promoting the learning, adding value and satisfaction to the student.
- Supervised machine learning for automatic assessment of free-text answersPublication . Rocha, Fabio Gomes; Rodriguez, Guillermo Horacio; Andrade, Eli Emanuel F.; Guimarães, Adolfo; Gonçalves, Vitor; Ferraz Sabino, RosimeriThe learning assessment seeks to collect data that allows for identifying learning gaps for teacher decision-making. Hence, teachers need to plan and select various assessment instruments that enable the verification of learning evolution. Considering that a more significant number of evaluation instruments and modalities increase the teachers’ workload, the adoption of machine learning might support the assessing actions and amplify the potential of students’ observation and follow-up. This article aims to analyze machine learning algorithms for automatic classification of free-text answers, i.e., evaluating descriptive questions written in Portuguese. We utilized a dataset of 9981 free-text answers for 17 questions. After pre-processing the data, we used eight classification algorithms. In conclusion, we highlight that the Logistic Regression, ExtraTrees, Random Forest, and Multi-layer Perceptron algorithms obtained results above 0.9 of F-score for both multi-class and binary classification.
