A prática educativa foi desenvolvida em contexto de Creche e Jardim-de-Infância e a temática que me mereceu particular reflexão foi o desenvolvimento motor, no sentido de saber que oportunidades neste âmbito, são proporcionadas às crianças. Considerando a educação física como um domínio enquadrado nas Orientações Curriculares para a Educação Pré-Escolar é fundamental, desde cedo ser promovida nas crianças, pois é consoante os seus desenvolvimentos, o crescimento, o meio ambiente e a existência de materiais diversificados e formas, como brincar/jogar, que possibilita criar/explorar experiências, bem como serem ativos de forma a progredir no desenvolvimento motor. Neste sentido, o presente relatório segue uma linha orientadora de investigação-ação, através da qual procuro: refletir sobre o papel da Educação física na aprendizagem e desenvolvimento da criança; ilustrar a variabilidade do desenvolvimento motor, bem como analisar em que medida o espaço e os materiais facilitam o desenvolvimento progressivo a nível motor. Deste modo, assumo a necessidade de, no contexto da Educação de Infância, se promoverem práticas pedagógicas que fomentem o desenvolvimento motor das crianças.The following internship report has been developed under the Supervised Teaching Practice, with the purpose of achieve the preschool master degree. Therefore, the educational practice was developed in the context of day care and kindergarten and the subject that deserved my best attention was the motor development, in order to know what opportunities offered to children in the context of early childhood education. Considering the physical education as a domain, within the framework of Curricular Guidelines of Preschool Education, from an early age provided to children, once that, depending on them developments, growing, environment and the existence of many different materials and shapes, like playing, it become possible to create/explore other experiences and be active in order to make progresses in motor development. In this regard, the present report follows an investigation-action orientation line, through which I want to reflect about the Physical Education role at child’s learning and development, evidencing the variability of motor development, as well as to observe how do the space and the materials make the progressive motor development easier.
