To positively impact the chestnut sector's economic value, a co-creation project was initiated to develop chestnut-based food products that can add value and boost consumption. Two products were proposed: spicy chestnut bits and salty chestnut crackers, both of which received positive feedback from market surveys regarding their flavour, shape, and consumption occasion attributes.
