Abstract(s)
Este trabalho, insere-se num estudo mais amplo realizado no âmbito da dissertação
de mestrado em educação ambiental e pretende promover o conhecimento
sobre a natureza e a história da região através de várias atividades
didáticas, que os educadores ambientais não devem desprezar. Com a dinamização
de ações pedagógicas orientadas, pretende-se fortalecer a relação com
a natureza e com o passado, incentivando a criação de novos hábitos culturais,
assim como é preconizado pelo Ministério da Educação, nas orientações curriculares
para educação pré-escolar. O objetivo geral do trabalho é compreender
de que forma a didática da arqueologia se pode relacionar com a
educação ambiental e implementar um conjunto de atividades na educação
pré-escolar, propondo-se estabelecer e organizar informação suscetível de
servir de base a iniciativas e programas de ensino da educação ambiental na
sua vertente natural e patrimonial. Como objetivos específicos pretendemos:
(i) Propor um conjunto de atividades educativas para crianças em idade préescolar;
(ii) Dar a conhecer a importância da valorização do património arqueológico
e natural da região, conjuntamente com a sua divulgação; e (iii)
Criar ou adaptar um espaço de forma a desenvolver um polo dinamizador de
um programa de desenvolvimento educativo centrado nos recursos naturais e
culturais. Para este estudo, em particular, vamo-nos centrar, essencialmente,
no primeiro objetivo. Ao abordarmos a arqueologia na educação pré-escolar
verificamos que as crianças entenderam a cultura material, como o ser humano
vivia em determinada época e iniciasse o pensamento em cronologia
histórica. De referir que, inicialmente, se deve cativar o gosto pela cultura,
começando pela história local, pois é com essa que as crianças e jovens convivem
diariamente, e ir acrescentando um elemento para que se consiga que a
educação patrimonial seja atrativa.
This work is part of a broader study within the master's thesis in environmental education and aims to promote knowledge about the nature and history of the region through a diversity of educational activities that environmental educators should not overlook. With the dynamization of targeted educational activities, we intend to strengthen the relationship with nature and the past, encouraging the creation of new cultural habits, as is recommended by the Ministry of Education, in the curriculum guidelines for pre-school education. The general objective is to understand how the teaching of archeology could be related to environmental education, implementing a set of activities in preschool education, with the purpose to establish and organize information able to be used in the teaching of environmental education initiatives and programs, where it should be related the natural and heritage aspects. As specific objectives we intend to: (i) propose a set of educational activities for children of pre-school age; (Ii) To publicize the importance of enhancement of the archaeological and natural heritage of the region, together with its disclosure; and (iii) Create or adapt a space in order to develop a dynamic hub of an educational development program focused on natural and cultural resources. For this particular study, let us focus primarily on the first order. When archeology was discussed in pre-school education we found that children understood the material culture, the way humans lived at a particular time and this way they start thinking in historical chronology. It should be noted that, initially, the programs must cultivate a taste for culture, starting with the local history, because it´s the reality for children’s and young people, and then it should be added a new element in order to achieve that the heritage education can be attractive.
