Abstract(s)
O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar o comportamento do consumidor face ao sistema
bancário português. Para o efeito, desenvolveu-se um estudo transversal, observacional e
descritivo baseado numa amostra acidental constituída por 456 indivíduos que foram
inquiridos através de um questionário de autopreenchimento. O questionário destinava-se à
população ativa e pretendia averiguar a opinião dos portugueses em relação ao sistema
bancário e à atual crise que se faz sentir em Portugal. Para além disso, visava, ainda, perceber
o comportamento dos consumidores face aos produtos financeiros.
A recolha de dados decorreu durante os meses de novembro e dezembro 2014 e janeiro de
2015 na cidade de Bragança. Os dados foram editados e tratados com o SPSS 22.0 (Statistical
Package for Social Sciences). Calcularam-se estatísticas descritivas, nomeadamente,
frequências absolutas e relativas.
Pode-se afirmar que os portugueses se sentem desagradados com a situação económica e
financeira portuguesa pois consideram que os rendimentos são baixos e a carga fiscal é
elevada e desproporcional face ao nível de rendimento.
Os resultados mostram que, com a atual crise que se sente em Portugal, os cidadãos de
Bragança estão bastante preocupados. Esta situação traduz-se na redução do rendimento
mensal ou no desemprego que levou à alteração de alguns hábitos do quotidiano dos
inquiridos de forma a conseguirem reduzir as despesas. Segundo os inquiridos, o futuro é
muito incerto pois mesmo quem tem emprego receia poder vir a perdê-lo. A educação dos
filhos e o pagamento do crédito à habitação são também motivos de preocupação.
Relativamente às instituições bancárias, os inquiridos consideram que o atendimento, a
confiança e a simpatia são aspetos positivos. Pelo contrário, as comissões cobradas, as
elevadas taxas de juro e o horário de atendimento foram identificados como aspetos negativos.
The objective of this study was to analyze consumer behavior in the Portuguese banking system. To this end, it was developed a cross-sectional, observational and descriptive study based on a random sample consisted of 456 individuals who were surveyed through a selfreport questionnaire. The questionnaire was intended for the active population and intended to ascertain the opinion of the Bragnça city population about the banking system and the current crisis that is felt in Portugal. Additionally, this research aimed notice the behavior of consumers in what concerns to financial products. Data collection took place during the November and December 2014 and January 2015 in Bragança city. The data were edited and processed with SPSS 22.0 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences). Statistical data treatment involved the calculation of descriptive statistics, namely, absolute and relative frequencies. The results show that, with the current crisis that sits in Portugal, Bragança citizes are quite concerned. This is reflected in the reduction of monthly income or unemployment that led to the alteration of some everyday habits of the respondents in order to achieve lower expenses. According to respondents, the future is very uncertain because even those with a job fear to lose it. The children education and mortgage credit payment are also causes for concern. With regard to banks, the respondents consider that the attention, trust and sympathy are positive aspects. On the contrary, the commissions charged, the high interest rates and the opening hours were identified as negative aspects.
