Abstract(s)
plataforma INTACT (Interactive Teaching Materials Across Culture and Technology),
The development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and the paradigm of modern society require that schools and training centers adapt to new realities resulting from the need to develop learning skills throughout life and decode emerging literacies. This thesis aims to present the exploration and evaluation of the open source INTACT (Interactive Teaching Materials Across Culture and Technology) platform, both in the trainees and trainer’s perspectives, in the Portuguese language sessions, in a professional course. To this purpose, learning objects and content were previously developed and later used in training context, both in the training room and in distance learning. The results were based on the single exploratory case study and in the analysis of the work done by the trainer, the learning outcomes evidenced by the trainees, by direct observation and by conducting two surveys. We believe that although there is much to do in terms of dissemination and promotion of INTACT platform, the project achieved the main goals, and this thesis emphasizes the following: the platform’s use in training context and its contribution to the development of collaborative learning skills.
